Upon arrival at Paro by Bhutan’s national carrier, Druk Air, you’ll be treated to a picturesque flight over the lush green Paro Valley, offering glimpses of the world’s highest mountains. As you disembark, you’ll be greeted by the crisp, clean air, a refreshing introduction to Bhutan. After completing customs and visa formalities, our representatives will welcome you and transfer you to Paro for lunch. Following lunch, embark on a scenic drive to Thimphu, approximately one hour away, tracing the Pa Chhu river downstream. In Thimphu, marvel at the panoramic views from the Buddha Terrance, visit the Takin Preserve to observe Bhutan’s national animal, and explore cultural landmarks such as the majestic Tashichoe Dzong and the Memorial Chorten. Discover the vibrant Centenary Farmers Market, peruse authentic crafts at the new bazaar, and delve into Bhutanese traditional medicine at the National Institute of Traditional Medicine. Conclude the day with a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum, housed in a 300-year-old traditional house converted into a museum. Relax and unwind at your hotel, where dinner will be served. After breakfast, embark on a day tour to Punakha, situated at 1,310 meters above sea level. Traverse Dochula Pass at 3,140 meters, offering stunning views of the eastern Himalayas on clear days. Enjoy a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, perched atop a hill amidst picturesque rice fields, dedicated to Drukpa Kunley and renowned as the fertility temple. Continue to Punakha and visit Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful dzongs. After exploring Punakha, return to Thimphu for overnight stay at the hotel. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)
Drive back to Paro from Thimphu and proceed to the base camp of Taktsang for the iconic hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest. The two-hour hike to the cafeteria offers spectacular views of the monastery, where Guru Padmasambhava meditated in the 8th century. Visit the main monastery and hike back to the road point, then proceed to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred shrines. Explore Rinpung Dzong, a fortress built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Return to the hotel for overnight stay. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)

The new SDF of US$100 per person per day will become effective from 1 September 2023.
The new SDF shall remain effective for four years until 31 August 2027.
Any guest who already paid the SDF for their upcoming visit to Bhutan is eligible for a refund of the excess SDF amounts paid.
When applying for a visa to enter Bhutan, you will need to pay the SDF. Visas can be applied for at the Department of Tourism’s website.
No, the incentives introduced in June 2023 have been revoked and are no longer applicable. However, the 24-hour SDF waiver for border towns in Bhutan remains valid.
